Another attempt mat sliding the worlds fastest right hander led to some extreme speed runs this afternoon.
The 4th Gear Flyer actually has a 5th gear from what I've found.
With the proper inflation and bend in the pocket, a mat on this wave will outrun any fixed plane surface vehicle you could think of.

Still searching for the elusive magic ride. Hearing of the 5th gear from someone who's opinion I've come to trust is the kind of thing that keeps the fire alive. It will be awhile before I make it back to Maui, but with any luck it will coincide with some S swell.
Also, even though I like seeing what's what in Maui, I also miss your wedge work. Finnaly got some fix after the weekend swell lit things up in Newport.

It's there, seek and ye shall find. I think it's somewhere along the lines of total enlightenment or maybe jedi status on the mat. Not toot'ing my own horn, but I've felt it.
