Alittle glimmer of hope registered on the buoys this morning. I was soo sick of riding gutless northside windswell, I rolled the dice on the drive to the southside.
All geared up and scored an empty peak all to myself. First time I've taken the mat out in some size, these pics are tough to tell, but they're a couple feet overhead.
It's a whole different ball game sliding the mat on waves this big and bumpy. I'm just glad I've put in time getting to know how to ride the thing.
Stopped off on the way home at Maalaea and went for a 2nd session. Waves were abit more manageable, I can't wait to catch it on the right size/swell angle. The mat is gonna gooooooo!
