I've heard stories of board surfers passing over to the other side once they've had a taste of the mat, and never returning.
I just remember shit eating grins from my day at the mat meet in 2010...

Yeah Jason , I had an original 4th gear flyer Paul sold me when I moved to Maui back in 83, I still have it! surfed it all over the place, I just got a new Tracker RT last month, have fun your gonna dig it!
